Students can underperform when they don't have the tools and strategies required to succeed in the 21st century classroom. By integrating these neuroscience-based strategies into teaching, educators can empower all students to understand and take ownership of their learning, while fostering greater independence and academic success.
This is a series of five webinars:
January 6, 2026 - Understanding Executive Function: The 11 Skills and the Science Behind Them. Begin your journey into executive function by gaining a clear understanding of the 11 core EF skills and the brain science that supports them. This session introduces participants to the neurological development of executive function, explores how these skills influence student behavior and learning, and lays the foundation for seeing students through an EF-informed lens.
January 20, 2026 - Reframing the Classroom: Developing an Educator Mindset for Executive Function Support. Explore how your own mindset can shape the development of executive function skills in students. This session empowers educators and administrators to adopt a strengths-based, brain-aligned approach that fosters student growth, resilience, and independence. Learn how to model EF strategies and cultivate a classroom culture that supports skill-building every day.
February 3, 2026 - Tools for Time: Strengthening Time Management, Organization, and Planning Skills. Dive into practical tools and strategies to help students master time-related executive function skills. Learn how to integrate various strategies and tools into classroom routines to boost independence, reduce overwhelm, and improve student accountability.
February 17, 2026 - Staying On Track: Supporting Working Memory, Task Initiation, Focus, and Motivation. Help students start strong and stay engaged. This session provides evidence-based strategies to enhance task initiation, support working memory, and sustain attention.
March 3, 2026 - Keeping Calm and Flexible: Building Emotional Control, Inhibition, and Adaptability. Support students in managing emotions, staying flexible, and making thoughtful choices. Learn classroom practices to promote emotional regulation, impulse control, and cognitive flexibility.
Presenter Colleen Santoni is an educational consultant, coach and speaker with Northshore Learning, and has over 25 years experience in education and experiential learning. She has served as a teacher and administrator in elementary and middle schools and works as Adjunct Faculty for the University of Notre Dame. She served as an Assistant Principal at St. Patrick in Dallas, Texas. Colleen has a BA from the University of Notre Dame, was a Fellow with the Alliance for Catholic Education, has a Masters in the Art of Teaching from the University of Portland, and a certificate in School Leadership from Creighton University. Colleen is passionate about restorative practices, positive classroom management, and developing executive function skills for all students. She lives in Richardson, Texas with her husband and has three adult sons.

Professional Development Hours / Cost
Webinars will be presented bi-weekly for a total of 5 hours of training. For each webinar watched, participants will earn 1 CEU, up to 5 total.
Participants will receive admission to all five webinar sessions for a fee of $50.00 per person. Group rates available on request. Register here! |
