"Promoting Quality Education Through Accreditation"
National Federation of Nonpublic School State Accrediting Associations (NFNSSAA) State Chapter accredited schools are recognized by the Department of Education through a joint agreement between the Department of Education’s Office of Non-Public Education-Office of Innovation and Improvement and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP).
  • NFNSSAA Chapters provide a rigorous and comprehensive self-assessment process based on the school’s unique mission and validated by an independent and impartial team of reviewers. 
  • NFNSSAA Chapters serve as liaisons to their individual State Departments of Education.
  • NFNSSAA Chapters hold the institutional knowledge relating to nonpublic school accreditation in their states.
  • NFNSSAA Chapters provide local and ongoing support focused on quality education programs and accountability.
  • NFNSSAA Chapters are local independent associations aware of federal and state educational priorities and regulations as they apply to nonpublic schools.
  • NFNSSAA Chapters are recognized by and the National Honor Society and the National Junior Honor Society.
