NFNSSAA Membership
The National Federation of Nonpublic State Accrediting Associations (NFNSSAA) is an organization comprised of state chapters that accredit nonpublic schools within their individual states. The National Federation recognizes and supports the state chapters in their accreditation process and the individual schools approved by the state chapters. The purpose of the organization is to share information, provide guidance, and collaborate on national and local issues impacting state nonpublic schools.
A State Chapter of NFNSSAA can be comprised of various nonpublic schools and systems. Each chapter has set accreditation standards and criteria which includes: Mission / Philosophy, Administration, Governance, School Climate, Parental and Community Involvement, Student Services, Professional Staff, Curriculum, Instructional Resources, Finances, Strategic Plans, and Development.
